Rosewood Timepiece

Heavilly inlaid with brass to form floral designs and an allegorical study to the base. Urn finial over octagonal body containing porcelain dial clock with brass bezel, with decoratve gilt bronze leopard head handles, over scrolled mid-section over base with drawer. Very good quality case with the added quality of show-wood to the back of the clock.

Dial size 4”. Height 20 ½” (stock no:113)

Figured Walnut case with reverse painted scene to the glass door, with exposed pendulum bob. Enamel dial with floral spandrels.

Signed Ansonia . Original paper label to the inside of the case.

17th century style 30 hour, striking Lantern Clock with hook & spike.

The dial with a skeletal grim reaper & two other skeletons holding aloft hour glasses. The Latin inscription we are yet to translate.

We think this good quality replica was made in the early 20th century.
